I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
